Activity Report 2022
Created under the theme of “Strategic Network Development” the iac Berlin Activity Report addresses how we can intentionally apply relational and collaborative approaches to address current challenges.
Long-term impact through networks
Bernhard Straub, CEO of the Robert Bosch Stiftung: With the creation of the Bosch Alumni Network, Robert Bosch Stiftung has taken a significant step beyond simply cultivating a network.
Understanding Collective Impact
Winfried Kneip explains how to strengthen democratic culture on a systemic level and why multipliers from different areas of society can work together strategically.
What we do
We see networks as a pivotal asset and a powerful tool for creating impact—especially for today’s philanthropic institutions.
The Art of Convening
We need a new approach to events that inspire and encourage agents of change. However, in putting this theory into practice, the organizers of the SDG Places Initiative discovered that even sophisticated event designs are influenced by power-dynamics and an overwhelmingly western perspective.
Designing Impact Networks
War in Ukraine
Together with key partners from across the philanthropy sector, MitOst & iac Berlin have launched the integrated online portals PhilanthropyForUkraine.eu and NGOforUkraine.eu. The initiative aims to better coordinate the efforts, initiatives and calls for donations from the European philanthropy sector and NGO community in Ukraine and neighbouring countries.
