Information about the use of our community space
We are happy to open our community space at the iac Berlin office to other organizations who are looking for facilities for their events. Our community space is located in Berlin Mitte near Rosenthaler Platz and can host several different event formats such as workshops, panel discussions and smaller receptions.
For workshops with seating, we recommend a maximum of 25 participants, for standing receptions and panel discussions with seating there is space for approximately 50 participants. The community space has a kitchen with sink and fridge, working tables, pin and white boards as well as a podium. In addition, we make available a small set of moderation materials (marker, paper etc.).
The general code of conduct is therefore that we provide you with the facility, and in exchange, all organizational issues remain in your hands. We will charge a lump-sum fee depending on the event format and size. This fee covers the rent and usage of the equipment, e.g. moderation material and technical equipment, as well as tea and coffee. Under certain conditions, we continue to offer the space free of charge for events in cooperation with the Bosch Alumni Network or the iac. For inquiries regarding cooperative events, please contact us directly.
Regarding food there are several restaurants, cafés and caterers close by. We put together a small map with our favorites for you, alongside other helpful locations in the area. In particular, we recommend the Italian restaurant “La Pausa“ with its nice backyard seating, or the Café Common Grounds for its amazing coffee and its own meeting room. As for caterers, we had good experiences with Butterstulle (http://www.butterstulle.berlin/), Suppengrün (http://www.suppengruen.net) or make your own choice (www.caterwings.de).
We are happy to answer any further questions or suggestions regarding our facility and wish you a successful event at our community space.
