Philine Seydel

Project Assistant

Philine joined the iac in February 2021 and supports the co-creative incubation process for founding a Hub for Democratic Culture as a project assistant. Her main task lies in the support of the implementation and administration of projects and processes within the „Hub“.

Previously, Philine worked and volunteered for various NGOs in Berlin and Europe. Most recently, she supported the association Forum Fairer Handel e.V. as a freelancer in online communication projects.

Philine grew up in Berlin. Curiosity for new ideas, people and countries drove her first to studying International Development and Communication Studies (Bachelor of Arts) at Vienna University and later to studying European History (Master of Arts) at Humboldt University in Berlin. Focussing on Ottoman and Turkish history as well as transnationalism in her studies, she set out investigating sources in different archives and libraries from Istanbul to Paris, where she spent an exchange semester each.

Her liking for investigative research corresponds to her passion for crime novels which she enjoys reading or listening to in her free time.
