In an increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (short: VUCA) world, the context for civil society is rapidly changing. The sphere of influence of political and economic actors, demographic shifts, climate change and emerging digital and social technologies pose challenges, create opportunities and require rapid adaptation within communities.
On June 25th, Monday on the Couch therefore discussed how to strengthen the resilience and impact of civil society actors in this new reality.
Together with our panelist Alona Karavai, Promprylad, Ukraine and Tarek Alsaleh, Capoeira4 Refugees panelists explored the new role of civil society within a VUCA world, guided by questions such as: What does this new reality look like across the globe? What mechanisms are already in place to deal with challenges and create opportunities? Where do we see potential for dealing with this new reality in a collaborative way?
Monday on the Couch is a discussion format within the Bosch Alumni Network. One Monday each month, we are inviting experts from our network to the iac Community Space to discuss a current political or societal topic. After the discussion, there is time to continue the conversation over drinks.
