Peer-to-Peer Counseling for Women

Exchanging experiences on the current professional situation or next career move is an urgent need for many. The counseling sessions for women provide the participants with an opportunity to talk about their next professional steps in a protected space.

Returning inspired from the last Bosch Alumni Forum on the “future of work”, three Bosch alumnae organized a set of peer-to-peer counseling sessions for women to provide support and advice in work related issues.

On three consecutive Tuesday evenings in July 2018, ten Bosch alumnae met in the iac Berlin Community Space to give helpful collegial advice or share they cases. An important staff meeting, how to juggle family and work, professional self-fulfillment, salary negotiation or inside tips on how to get a promotion – the variety of topics that the participants discussed were broad.

During the pilot phase, two experienced trainers from the organizational consulting “Socius” introduced the method of peer-to-peer counseling and supported the alumnae along the process. It is planned to make this a monthly meet-up, starting in September. The dates will be announced on boschalumni.net.

The peer-to-peer counseling is hosted by the Bosch alumnae Jasmin Grimm, Joanna Szlauderbach (both alumnae of “Tandem Shaml”) and Nina Linkel (alumna of the “Lectureship Program”). The trainers are Kerstin Engelhardt and Nicola Kriesel from Socius – Organisationsberatung.
