Friederike Elbers

Friederike is a working student in the area of project and event management and supports various projects in the Culture Cluster as well as the Science and Research Cluster of the Bosch Alumni Network.

Before joining the iac Berlin, Friederike finished a bachelor’s degree in cultural science and an event management apprenticeship. The combination of these experiences engendered her special interest in Film Festivals and she has supported the organization of the Berlinale as well as the Festival Internacional de Cine in Guadalajara several times.

Currently, Friederike is pursuing her MA in Sociocultural Studies, adding a versatile theoretical and methodological base to her enthusiasm and expertise in cultural project management. She fell in love with Mexico during a study year abroad and specializes in the cultural history of global economies and (post-) colonial theory in Latin America.

Next to her work and studies, Friederike enjoys good food, good movies and spending time with her friends. She loves to explore Berlin's vast array of fleamarkets, at one of which she typically spends her Sundays.
