2. Statutes and Goals of the Organization
Purpose of the iac Berlin is foremost to promote the general public in the fields
- international attitude, tolerance, and international understanding
- education, including student support
- science and research
The iac Berlin realizes its purposes in particular through the operation of a scientific competence center ("Alumni Center"), which documents, develops and provides technical solutions, knowledge and methods for working with alumni in order to promote the purposes described above and thus promotes the establishment of networks of non-profit actors. It also pursues the goal of empowering alumni to act for the common good and supporting them in such activities. Therefore, the iac Berlin organizes its own events, contributes to the transfer of science and research through publications, and cooperates with partner organizations within the framework of the provisions of the section "Tax-privileged purposes" as defined by the German Fiscal Code. Other social innovators can also be empowered and supported within this non-profit framework.
Within this framework, the organization's purposes are realized in particular through the networking and further education of individuals and the exchange of knowledge between science, business, politics and civil society, as well as research into the impact of networks, for example through the collection of scientific data and dissemination of knowledge about the significance of the phenomenon, as well as established and tested measures of network development; the development and implementation of further education and qualification programs - in some cases for a fee - for executives and potential executives from all sectors of society, provided that they can demonstrate a charitable commitment as part of their professional activities or as a sideline.
The iac Berlin promotes the international spirit and the idea of international understanding by organizing exchanges, study trips, workshops as well as projects that encourage cooperation and the exchange of knowledge between multipliers from Germany and other countries, thereby supporting both international exchange and multicultural encounters between committed citizens. Furthermore, by awarding scholarships according to the applicable award guidelines as well as through public exhibitions, publications, conferences, seminars and lectures.
