Loukas Bartatilas
Community Space Coordinator
Loukas rejoined the iac Berlin team in January 2025 as coordinator of the Community Space, building on his contributions during the organization’s early phase until 2019.
Originally from Greece and now a long-time Berliner with over 15 years in the city, Loukas holds a PhD in the History of Architecture and Urban Planning, a Master's degree in Public Art and New Artistic Strategies, and a diploma in Architecture. His professional experience bridges academic research with hands-on urban projects, spanning curatorial work, writing, and coordination of participatory initiatives in Athens and Berlin. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with cultural institutions, civil society organizations, archives, universities, and municipal authorities.
His connection to the Robert Bosch Stiftung began with his participation in the Actors of Urban Change program. He later joined the team of representatives of the Robert Bosch Cultural Managers Network before contributing to the iac Berlin team.
When not working with projects and communities, Loukas documents Berlin's hidden modernist architecture and explores the world of podcasts as alternative mediums for urban storytelling.
