Foundations for Ukraine
Foundations for Ukraine (F4U) is a global network of philanthropic organizations united in their commitment to supporting Ukraine. By fostering strategic collaboration, knowledge sharing, and advocacy, F4U enables its members to enhance their collective impact in addressing Ukraine’s immediate needs and contributing to its long-term recovery.
F4U connects foundations, grant makers, and other philanthropic actors globally to align efforts, coordinate actions, and avoid duplication. Through joint initiatives and shared strategic goals, the network optimizes resources to address both urgent and long-term needs in Ukraine. By amplifying the visibility of Ukraine’s needs on the global stage, F4U ensures that the voices of Ukrainian local actors guide strategic decisions and mobilizes international attention and resources.
The International Alumni Center (iac Berlin) is hosting F4U during its co-creative two-year incubation phase which allows the initiative to be shaped into an inclusive, decentralized, and sustainable network. iac Berlin facilitates this process by supporting the development of a partner structure, fostering the creation of a cross-border network, and helping to launch collaborations amongst member foundations. Acting as the network’s incubator, iac Berlin provides the infrastructure and expertise necessary to guide Foundations for Ukraine as it grows into an impactful alliance of philanthropic actors.
Foundations for Ukraine is not a fundraising platform but a space for meaningful collaboration and innovation. By working together, the network members build a cohesive philanthropic alliance that adapts to Ukraine’s evolving needs while enabling sustainable support.
The official launch was in early 2025. The official website is www.foundations4ukraine.net.
The incubation phase of F4U is funded by Charles Stewart Mott Foundation and Robert Bosch Stiftung.
